Now that we know who we are in Christ Jesus, we also know that His promises belong to us as His children. II Corinthians 1:20 says, the promises of God in him are yes and amen. According to III John 2, God desires that we prosper and live in health, above all else. In Deuteronomy 16:15, God promises to bless the work of His children’s hands.

Although God has a myriad of ways to bless us, God primarily blesses us through our employment and a business. Proverbs 10:4 says the hand of the diligent makes rich. Zechariah 4:10 admonishes us to not despise small beginnings for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. Many of us desire wealth and prestige, but we may not want to go through the process of getting there. Most large businesses start small. When we start these small beginning, God is continuing to develop our character as we grow our souls (bodies, minds, and spirits).  

Before we start businesses or employment, God expects us to pray to Him above all else.  Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. When we trust God, He promised to increase us more and more (Psalms 115:14).
